Pre ViE Biography
I am not new to DoD:Source, having played it in pubs since it was released. Although ViE is my first competitive foray into DOD:S it is by no means my first venture into the world of competitive gaming. I started playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory many moons ago starting my own clan Band of Brothers (How Original :D ) which had a modicum of success playing friendly scrims. Eventually we switched to Call of Duty, but this was short lived as interest in the clan dwindled and we eventually split up. I continued playing Call of Duty however and eventually joined Call of Duty Element, which was a very popular community (even linked from the developers site) and joined their EU clan Division as MajorDisaster with the tag E2|^4|MajorDisaster. We competed in the EnemyDown ladder before the community was bought out by MyIS and it all fell apart (what a suprise).
I then switched to pubbing in Counterstrike:Source where my attention was drawn back into DOD:S by a friend. I fell in love with it all over again and decided to search for a clan, where I stumbled upon ViE.
Origin Of Nickname
Since I was a nipper I was involved with the military having joined the Air Training Corps (RAF Cadets). Whilst here I became known as Colonel Catastrophe due to the number of mishaps that seemed to occur by random chance in my vicinity. I decided to use this handle at Call of Duty Element, where they jokingly demoted me after an especially bad performance to Major Disaster. This stuck to this day.
In my first ViE tournament I used this handle, however it was continually shortened over TS to 'D' or 'MajorD' and so I went with it in ViE#6.
RL Background
I was previously a Aircrew Sergeant in the Royal Air Force, having served one tour in Iraq. I am also studying for a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Currently I work as a Pub manager.
ViE Career
I joined ViE in campaign #5 into the 5th Panzerjager division. I started out as a Shutze, but after enjoying the camp enormously I decided I would like to do more. When the opportunity arose to apply for a promotion to Oberleutnant of the SG under Jonny I jumped at it. I succeeded and proceeded to take over the medals department after Lands developed RL issues and could no longer handle the work load. In ViE#6 I was asked to again join the staff team, this time starting out as an Oberstabsfeldwebel in the EM. As the camp progressed I was promoted back to CO rank as a Leutnant. My duties again included both the Strat team and the medal team where I was in charge of the issuing of Recommendation Medals. I have also been involved in the founding of the ViE newspage, VictoryTone news where I provide the service of Layout Editor. This campaign I am starting out at the CO rank of Taiso, or Leiutenant Commander in the Naval division of the Kamikaze (Axis) Army. My career progression has led me to take over from PinkPanther in the medals department, where I am the IC CO. I have devised a special new system for ViE#7, which will only be useful for this campaign as they are Japanese medals.
In ViE #8 I held the rank of General, however I was largeley inactive due to my rig being damaged. But into ViE #9 I had a brand new rig, and switched to the Allied forces to take it to the Axis!! Unfortunately we lost the battle on that occasion, but it did lead to my being noticed by Kilty, the outgoing CinC. He asked me to replace him and I accepted, making me the CinC for ViE #10. In this camp I will be making it more fun and relaxed, like it was back in the japanese axis division, fun and serious all at the same time. It can be done!!

Playstyle
I like to lead from the front usually leading to my swift demise. You need a human shield I am your man! I also like to slip behind enemy lines for cheeky ninja fullcaps.
