The Generalfeldmarschall an Axis equivalent of CinC. The term has become widespread enough to be regarded as standard designation of all Axis CinCs, although not all of them actually used this title (both in real-life and in ViE).

In ViE#2, ViE#3 and ViE#5, the Axis CinC has been the Axis General of the previous campaign. The first Axis CinC, Redfalcon, had been an Axis General in BFE Campaign 23 however, so he did not truly break with this tradition either. The Axis CinCs in ViE#4, ViE#6 and ViE#7 weren't Generals in the previous campaign.

Position within the Chain of Command

Generalfeldmarschall is classified as OF-10 in the NATO System and Level 21 in Ewok's rank classification system. The next lower rank is General. It is the highest Axis rank.
