Battle For Europe (BFE) was a Day of Defeat tournament that ran from November 28, 2001 to May 17, 2006, over a total of 23 campaigns, and had a major influence on what is the ViE tournament today. All founders of ViE were previously members of BFE, as well as a large number of the ViE players.
